Brand Traser, owned by the Swiss manufacturer of constant glow systems Mb-micro tec ag, continues to expand its line of watches. Today, the company produces more and more “civilian” models, but it does not forget military technology. In today’s review: the future army watch, which is not a shame to wear with a suit, as well as a super premier, opening a new series of exclusive watch brands, which we hope will become the “Swiss G-SHOCK”.
Laconic design by Traser P59 Essential
Traser P59 Essential M TR_108206 became a continuation of the best-selling P59 Classic Type 3. This is guessed in the simplicity of the design and the silhouette of the case. The conciseness of execution, streamlined shapes, and the original font create an image of the clock soldier of the future.
Unlike its predecessor, the case of the novelty is made of steel 316L. In addition, two diameters are available at the same time: 37 mm (marking S) and 42 mm (marking M) – the watch can be matched to a different wrist. The matte black shade of the case and the bezel is achieved by PVD-sputtering, it guarantees the perfect look of the watch for a long time.
The watches are designed and assembled in Switzerland, inside there is a quartz movement of the Swiss brand ETA, caliber 804.112. The model is not for diving, but you can swim in the watch, water protection 100WR allows it. The delivery package is rich, you can choose three versions: on the Milan steel bracelet with PVD-coated, NATO textile and rubber.
Clock face. The combination of tritium and luminescent
The readability of the Traser dials has always been on the level, the Traser P59 Essential M TR_108206 with the display of data is also all right. The black dial, case, and bracelet in combination with the hands create the illusion of weightlessness – the latter as if hovering in a vacuum. This effect is enhanced by the lightening of microcolumns with tritium and is especially noticeable in the dark.
The font of hour indexes is borrowed from the older model of the Essential series, P59 Aurora. As well as in some other novelties, besides tritium, luminescent paint is used as a backlight, here it covers Arabic numerals.
Tourist new Traser P68 Pathfinder Automatic
The Traser P68 Pathfinder Automatic TR_107718 model opens a new series of brand watches for outdoor activities P68 Adventure. The main tourist complication here is presented in the form of a solar compass deposited on a rotating inner bezel.
We have before us a top model, it has a mechanical caliber with an automatic winding ETA 2824-2 of Elaborate configuration, which has a more precise setting compared to the standard version and some upgraded elements. For a brand that produces mostly quartz military watches, mechanics are an unusual phenomenon.
For the three-pointer model, the body is rather large. But, given that inside the mechanic, the dimensions and weight are not surprising. Stainless steel is protected by a black PVD coating. Screw-down crowns are proportional to the size of the case. One is responsible for the operation of the hand-winding plant and the arrows, the other controls the movement of the compass on the rotating bezel.
The watch is available with dials in two colors: Midnight Blue Blue and Black Black Hole. All elements are clearly structured and located on the periphery, the central part of the dial is cleared under the hands. The yellow hour and black minute and second hands are traditionally highlighted with tritium microcapsules.
Hourly indices, like the previous model, for absolute visibility at any time of the day covered with a fluorescent composition. Just above the Arabic numerals, there were also tubes with tritium – one for each hour. Closer to the center – the 24-hour scale, it reminds us of the army’s roots of the brand.
Bezel solar compass
The inner sloping bezel is dotted with compass markings, thanks to it and the sun you can determine the direction of the cardinal points and even set the direction of motion. Green directions fonts are covered by SuperLuminova. In addition to decorative, this decision does not carry any meaning – to find the sun at dusk or at night is equally difficult.
